Upcoming events
On Mar 30th and Apr 7th, 2024, the SFMC is offering a Race Driver Training Course. This course is based on the required CACC curriculum and topics but is intended for those with some lapping or racing background and will emphasize advanced lapping techniques, race knowledge, and race procedures.
Upon successful completions of this course, we hope that our graduates will have all the right combination of racing knowledge and techniques to join the racing community.
In order to achieve these goals, our team of instructors is going to cover the CACC required topics during the classroom session and on track session. More details about our Race Driver Training Course can be found on this link:
Time Attack Events
The SFMC is hosting 5 rounds of Time Attack series events at the Speed-Fanatics Motorsports Circuit, Mission BC, the Vancouver Island Motorsports Circuit, and Area27 Motorsports Park on Jun 7th, Jul 1st, Jul 10th, Aug 16th, and Oct 4th of the 2024 season.
Besides competing for the SFMC Time Attack Championships, this is also counted as a CACC Regional Series Event; which means your results from our events along with the VCMC and VMSC events can all be counted towards your CACC Championship points.
Our Time Attack events is to be run in the Non-Passing format. Drivers with different experience levels are all welcomed to join. Drivers are grouped by their lap times and vehicle class to ensure that they are evenly matched in pace during their runs.
Time Attack is a bridge between lapping and door to door racing; it helps drivers to perfect their driving techniques and your biggest opponent is yourself.
We are not limiting ourselves to only host the mentioned events; that's why we need your ideas and involvements. We encourage our members to attend the regular club meetings via ZOOM on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 11am. The meeting will cover members' intro, event ideas and planning, and also we would like to recruit members to join our executive committee; as you know, it is not a one person's job to run a club and we can truly appreciate your involvements with each other's strengths.

News
1. Landsail tires will be supporting all drivers who compete at the CACC Sanctioned Events with their tire contingency program. Please visit their website: www.landsailmotorsports.ca for more info.
2. Fitness Friday Column on our club Facebook page: Our new club member, Jason Tam is a Certified Personal Trainer and a Functional Health Consultant who found his passion in human performance and mindset after working in the automotive industry for 5 years. Jason will be in charge of our Fitness Friday column and be sharing tips with us from his profession.
He made the shift in health and fitness to help empower, motivate, and coach people to improve their health and well being both in fitness and all aspects of life. Jason is an ACE (American Council of Exercise) certification in Personal Training, holds a certification at IIN (Institute of Integrative Nutrition) specializing in digestive health (gut health), and has recently been certified as a Brain Health Coach under Dr. Daniel Amen. He believes that both mind and body must work as one in order to achieve peak performance, while creating balance in one's personal, and professional life. His aim is to help individuals realize that fitness and health is not just about being in a gym or dieting, as it all starts with the physical health of the brain, better function of our nervous system, and digestive system.
A better brain means a better life professionally and in our personal lives to help us handle the stressors life throws at us, while a better digestive system keeps us properly fueled throughout the day to get the most of our activities. Outside of work and the gym, Jason enjoys the outdoors, is a fan of combat sports, motorsports, and is still a car enthusiast at heart.
Volunteering
Volunteers make any forms of motor racing possible.
Every weekend all over worldwide race circuits, driving events would not happen without . . .VOLUNTEERS.
Without people there to register drivers, tech cars, coordinate pre-grid, flag at turn stations, aid drivers during “incidents” on track, monitor sound, timing and scoring and many more …there would be no racing or track days!
It is also a great opportunity for volunteers to get up close to the racing actions and get to know the race drivers and their teams. No seats on the grandstands beat working right at the corner stations. The SFMC is now actively looking for enthusiasts to help out on our upcoming events.
Please contact us if you or your friends maybe interested.
